Frequently Asked Questions:
We also specialize in providing fantasy player coverage for the real fantasy players (not insurance). Fantasy Sports Guild is really another way to spell peace of mind.
Fantasy Sports Guild provides player coverage for fantasy players picked to play on your various fantasy teams. Coverage is ideal for fantasy GMs flirting with insanity as worry-filled thoughts about injured stars bounce around in their minds. When will he be back? Is the rehab on schedule? Will he be the same when he is able to compete again?
Athletes today have an incalculably greater capacity for injury. The incidence of injury in contact sports and racing is particularly high compared with non-contact sports. Possible causes for this rise include a greater game-time/practice intensity that creates more frequent and more powerful player impacts; improved competition; a shorter off-season leaving little time for injury recovery; or excessive pre-season training leading to fatigue.
It will never be possible to predict all injuries during a fantasy season; however, sufficient investment in risk factor assessments, and individual dynamics of player exposure and the individual screening of player positions or driving styles for intrinsic risk factors can help protect your investments. Although such coverage may have a cost in the short-term, it will prove cost-effective in the long-term. With the added peace of mind, fantasy player coverage benefits a GM even if injury never occurs.
Question: How does this service work?
Answer:
You are able to purchase coverage on any player currently on your fantasy team. A fantasy team owner may purchase up to five (5) policies for each player. Please note, if more than five policies are purchased for the same player, plans are purchased for an individual players, Fantasy Sports Guild will reject the additional purchases and compensate you for the policies you did purchase.
Question: When do I get paid?
Answer:
All payouts occur within 72 hours from the end of the last game of the fantasy season.
Question: How do I get paid?
Answer:
You will get your money the same way you made your coverage purchase. For example, if you paid for four (4) players through PayPal, and you are due a payout on any of those players, the compensation will come through PayPal.
If a player is already injured, or not available for purchase, coverage cannot be purchased for that player. Other than that, coverage can be purchased any time throughout the season, all season long. Please note...it is best to protect all of your players as early in the season as possible, because each game that goes by, the coverage payout will decrease.
Question: How will I know how much I am owed?
Answer:
You will receive a final report (via e-mail) at the end of that particular fantasy season. At the end of the fantasy season, a player database will be posted on this site and you can reference how many games your player missed.
Question: Why are 15 games the maximum payout when there are 17 weeks in the regular season?
Answer:
Each team in the NFL plays 16 regular season games spread through a 17 game regular season schedule. The majority of fantasy leagues, however, only play through week 16 of the NFL schedule. Therefore, Fantasy Sports Guild only covers 15 games spread out over 16 weeks, not considering week 17 as a covered week.
Question: Is this service considered insurance?
Answer:

Question: Are you considered a gambling website?
